AMAL Lebanese Restaurant

I am a foodie and have been one since I could talk and chew food on my own. I remember growing up and how I always loved to try out different foods. My tastebuds were always eager to try out and enjoy delicious food since I was young! I decided to write this blog to share with fellow foodies all the tasty food that they can also experience at the restaurants I have been to.

If you find yourself visiting Toronto, Canada and you want to try out tasty Lebanese food, Amal restaurant is the place to go! Amal restaurant is at 131 Bloor St West right at the center of downtown. Thanks to my friend C, who took me to Amal restaurant for a belated birthday brunch I got to experience one of the most delicious tasting brunch!

Ensure to make a reservation for brunch, lunch, or dinner via telephone.

I experienced a warm and amazing welcome at the reception area. I was awed by the spacious and nicely decorated restaurant. Amal is not your regular restaurant; it also includes a separate bar in case one wants to only drink and not eat.

I liked my seat, which was a comfortable couch facing the shopping area of Yorkville neighborhood. The seat was also across from the beautiful patio which unfortunately was closed since I went in October. The patio only opens in summer.

The brunch menu teas included black tea, green tea, chai tea and peppermint. I ordered Baba Ghanoush, an appetizer that is composed of roasted eggplant purée, tahini, and lemon. This appetizer gave my taste buds an amazing experience. The Baba Ghanoush was priced at $14 per plate and can be shared between two to three people, but it is best to confirm the price from the latest menu.

While the Sunday brunch menu included other entities, me and my friend selected to eat a mixed barbeque. This mixture of chicken and beef was unbelievably tasty/appetizing/flavorful /yummy. The bread and home fries which were part of the meal were also tasty/appetizing/flavorful /yummy. The meal we ordered was thus super-duper zuper delicious indeed! The meal cost $34 per person. Even my younger daughter Nono would agree as I brought her home fries from Amal Restaurant for her to try.

We also ordered a knafeh to share. Knafeh is a sweet dessert made of akkawi cheese, semolina, and| rose water syrup that tasted delicious. The knafeh was priced at $15 per piece, but it is best to confirm the price from the latest menu.

While I did not try other stuff in the menu, their menu includes Lebanese pancakes and will try these in future. They also have a dinner menu which includes grilled tiger shrimps and a chicken shawarma. I would love to try these one day.

Based on the menu, alcoholic beverages that are served at the bar or with meals include: cocktails, mocktails, wine by the glass, champagne, white wine from different places which include France, north America, Spain, Italy Morocco, Lebanon, Austria, and South Africa.
